http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4810:9w5dvj.2.12 shows USC as being the registrant of the IANA mark from September 14, 1999 (cancelled June 24, 2006).

This would seem to show USC had registered the trademark, does it not?

(http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4810:9w5dvj.2.11 shows ICANN as being the registrant of the IANA mark from September 17, 2002 with the first renewal being June 4, 2006, so ICANN does indeed own the IANA trademark with the US PTO)
