Thank you all for this draft, it looks like a great message to send to the
community. I did have one item to raise regarding scope and avoiding
confusion to the community on the CRISP team role and the duration of the
CRISP team itself:
Current text: "With this formal handover in the implementation of IPR to
the RIRs, we no longer have specific actions as the CRISP Team, and our
role now transitions into an auditor role.²
The reference to an ³auditor role² is the one I think might need clarity.
Perhaps if we say ³Šinto an auditor role until the IANA stewardship plan
is submitted² or ³Šinto an auditor role until the IANA stewardship plan is
approved.² I think the former is more appropriate and doesn¹t overlap the
ICG, but the latter may work as well if people feel strongly on that text.
Just want to be clear on the scope and end time of the CRISP team¹s work
and also to avoid any confusion with regard to the Review Committee.
Auditor role without a qualifier might sound like the work with which the
Review Committee would be charged, so perhaps with the suggested text, we
avoid any confusion. Further, while I have immensely enjoyed working with
this great group of people on the team and could work with all of you
indefinitely, I think it is best to have a clear expectation on when the
CRISP team¹s work is final and ends.
Thanks!
-Michael
