CRISP Team,

Based on our proposal and the way forward, the RIRs are now working on
details of the SLA.

As described in our proposal, we expect the numbers community will be
consulted before fixing the SLA text.

In doing this, Axel as the Chair of NRO EC has contacted me to confirm
whether NRO EC's understanding is consistent with the CRISP Team on our
role.

If you have any other thoughts or concerns, please share your feedback
within the coming 24 hours after this e-mail.

Confirmation of understanding from NRO:
 - The NRO is now responsible for the developmentand negotiation of the
   SLA with ICANN.
 - However, the NRO is expecting the CRISP Team to continue in its
consultative role with the communities to help inform and consult on
   the SLA development.
 - When some community feedback would come up from an RIR community
discussions (e.g, in RIR meetings/MLs)it might be helpful if
the regional CRISP Team member could summarize that towards the NRO
   EC.

The idea is:
  - a CRISP Team member from the region, as a community representative
from that region will report to the NRO EC for consideration.
  - We are expected to clarify and share our observations as
appropriate, with the community/NRO EC on whether the SLA is
    consistent with our proposal.

This makes sense to me as:
 - We are adding our observation based on the proposal and reporting
the feedback, we are still able to keep seperation in our role
 - As we had agreed, the CRISP Team is not stepping into
implementation decisions on SLA (and the Review Committee when the
idea is ready for consultation). The decision is still left to the
    RIRs/NRO.

The next RIR meeting to discuss the IANA stewardship transition:
 - Next Monday 2nd March at APNIC39 (as a part of APRICOT-APAN).
 - See below for the details

Craig,
Please feel free to add anything else if appropriate, as you probably
have a better picture than me on the state of preparation of the
session at APNIC39 as well as the SLA.

Thanks,
Izumi
