Hi all,
Please find attached a new version. The RIPE NCC kindly offered to do some editing in tidying up the terms and wording which you will see in this next version. I have also done a little bit of tidying and have accepted the changes made in the last days.
I will try to work on this today and hopefully we can get something final for everyone in the team to review by today European/US time. It would be good to publish something by tomorrow.
I think this is shaping up, but I still think we might need to review the last question again and make sure it says what we want it to say. I also agree with Izumi’s comment about the level of detail on question 10.
Kind regards,
Nurani

>> The CRISP Team supports the transition of the stewardship on the IANA functions, as well as the criteria set by the NTIA. We observe this as a way forward, which leads IANA functions to have its oversight mechanism based on the global Internet community as the customers of the IANA functions. It is consistent with the values cherished by the number community and how the Internet operates today. Its details are described in the paper published by the Internet Society (ISOC):

>> We observe that the process leading to the public comment by the ICG has been bottom up, based on support from the three operational communities, which has been open to anyone interested in the process to participate.

>> Further, we support the process developed by the ICG, which itself is a body with representatives from various stakeholder, has respected bottom up process by each of the operational communities and has adequately integrated the proposals, including elements of the numbers community proposal that has reached consensus within the numbers community.
>>
>> In this light, if any substantial changes are made in the next version of the ICG proposal, we would like to note that additional review would be required to determine whether the numbers community supports any such changes. We hope not to face such situation where possible, to minimize potential impact on the overall timelines, depending of the nature of the review required.
>>
>> Lastly, we would like the transition to take place in a timely manner, consistent with the current timelines including its implementation. The CRISP Team strongly encourages the each operational communities as wells as CCWG to continue working to keep the target timelines including its implementation, including meeting the target that we have set for the number community. For the IANA Numbering Services, we trust and work together with RIRs where appropriate, in preparing its implementation consistent with the timelines.
>>
>> Based on the collaborative spirit expressed among the three operational communities, we trust we continue to work efficiently towards finalizing the proposal for the transition.
