[CRISP-TEAM] CWG proposal - communicating with the numbers community

Dear CRISP team,

I trust you all enjoyed a good weekend. (Spring has finally arrived in Stockholm! The trees are green and the people are happy.)  

At our last CRISP call, we very briefly discussed the release of the CWG proposal last week. 

We agreed that Izumi and I should follow up with the CWG chairs about our requested conference call. (They have yet not come back to us about that.) The purpose of this call was to request the CWG chairs to communicate potential issues in the names proposal that could affect the numbers community to us. Izumi will reach out to them this week. 

Michael and John also offered to carry out an analysis of the names proposal to identify possible issues that affect our community and share with the group. (Thank you so much Michael and John!) 

In order to keep the community informed, I suggest that we send a mail to the ianaxfer list, informing them of the publication of the CWG proposal. (We encourage them to read the CWG proposal and to provide input on that proposal to the CWG group as they see fit.) 

We further inform them that the CRISP team is starting the work of analysing the CWG proposal and its potential impact on the numbers community. And we inform the community that the CRISP chairs are following up with the CWG chairs on our request for a meeting. 

I propose to send this mail to the ianxfer list by tomorrow the latest, unless there are objections or other thoughts expressed in the group. Do let me know if you have any other thoughts on this!
