Hello Paul,

Thank you for your e-mail. As was mentioned during the last CRISP team call, ARIN has a dedicated panel session on the CRISP team’s efforts on Monday at 11:00 a.m. local time here in San Francisco and we invite anyone to the session either onsite or remotely as the session will be webcast.
During that session, I intend to update the community on the status of the drafting of the SLA and am happy to share that update with the CRISP team now.

(1) Efforts by the RIR legal staff on the drafting of the SLA have been ongoing with such efforts guided by the SLA principles as identified in the CRISP proposal;
(2) The next step is for the respective RIR staff members of the drafting team to discuss the draft SLA for submission to the RIR CEO's for review (since it is the RIRs who are drafting the language of the SLA). Anticipate that this call will take place at some point this week assuming
we can find a time that it convenient for all involved. Intention is for the drafting team to submit a document for the RIR CEO’s review by Friday this week;
(3) Once the draft SLA is forwarded to the RIR CEO’s for review, the RIRs shall review and concur on a draft SLA for release to the public for
community comment which at that time will be announced by the RIRs.
(4) The expectation and suggestion is that when presented to the community, any sections of the draft SLA that may not completely align with the principles in the CRISP proposal or may be perceived as ambiguous with regards to consistency with the principles in the CRISP proposal be specifically highlighted to the community for comment.
(5) While not yet confirmed by the RIRs and the CRISP team, likely will rely on the CRISP team to coordinate community feedback similarly as was
done during the development of the CRISP proposal.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
-Michael

Hello ALl,

I just wanted to drop a quick line regarding our recent tele-conference.
Everything seems to be moving along nicely but given our discussions I
think it would be very useful to have an indication of when we can
expect the draft SLA.

It would be useful to have this (once signed off by the NRO EC) as the
RIR meetings are fast approaching.

Micheal, can you give us an indication of when we can see the first draft?

I hope you are all well,
Paul
