I support those suggestions.
I particularly like the way the IETF handles version control, as seen at
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-ianaplan-icg-response>. Each
HTML document has links to other formats of the same document (text,
HTML, and PDF), links to other versions of the document, and links to
two different kinds of difference display. I don't think it's realistic
for us to do all that, but we could do some of it.
